Life Among Fifty Thousand Sick Soldiers

Students identify and analyze what it was like ti be a soldier in the hospital during the Civil War. Students answer questions, such what point of view the article was written in; what the writer did at the hospital; and details about hospital life. Students then imagine that they are a soldier and write a letter home to their family describing their situations.
