Learners study about the life cycle of a butterfly. After a K-W-L chart has been completed by the whole class, the students get into small groups to read the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Then they look at a real caterpillar for two minutes and relate this to what they have read. At the end of the activity, the student should be able to point out the different stages on a worksheet which has been gathered from their readings and worksheet.
