Looking to Our Environment

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Eighth graders studied an environmental region in Illinois. The wetlands, swamps, woodlands and prairies were chosen. They research this region and create a picture that looks as if they are looking out the window. They had to have at least 15 various species in the picture. All species had to be labeled and more characteristics listed. These were then hung in the room to show the regions. Finally the groups had to present their regions and explain their importance.
