Math: Methods of Measurement

Fourth graders practice linear measurement skills by applying various measuring instruments to determine the heights of classmates. By measuring the heights of second graders and fourth graders, they construct tables of height and age data. The lesson serves as a springboard to basic algebra and how change in one variable relates to change in a second one.

Starting a new program means developing new lesson plans. I was surprised to see hundreds of lesson plans already created for my classroom subject. This gives me the inspiration I need to create my own. Many great ideas - a gold mine.
