As you begin explaining measurement with consistent units, scholars can use this to practice before they are introduced to more complicated systems (i.e. a ruler). They measure five familiar objects against a row of boxes, which serve as the units in this case. There is a list of answers for them to choose from as they fill in each length. Because not all of these measure exactly, remind scholars that they are rounding to the nearest unit. You could also require they write in the units, which aren't included in the answers.
