Trying to approach measuring in a fun and interactive way? You found it! This instructional activity has young learners first cut out two "rulers" - one with simple units marked, and another with blank squares. They begin by going around their house in search of pictured items (i.e. crayon, quarter, spoon, etc.). They "measure" items using the blank ruler, marking the number of units on the instructional activity. Next, learners move on to the marked "ruler", finding new items and recording measurements.
