Memory Book

Young writers create memory books. They think of important events in their lives from the past year. Then they draw pictures that depict these events, and dictate captions to an adult who writes them down in their books for them. These books will be sure to be keepsakes for parents, and would look great at a Back to School Night. The activity goes along with the Arthur episode "Arthur's New Year's Eve."

Lesson Planet has given me more time to teach and plan thoughtful lessons rather than spending that time scouring the Internet for resources and just throwing study guides at students!
