Mexican American Labor in the U.S.

Ninth graders examine how the United States historically shifts policies toward Mexican and Mexican American laborers to acquire cheap, temporary labor. For this US History lesson, 9th graders research the history of immigration from various groups related to immigration. Students create a time line of events in US immigration.

The new resource preview feature is awesome! It is extremely easy to both find materials and align them with the Common Core Standards. I use those a lot since they are not state-specific, and my lessons must meet the needs of students from different states as well as other countries. You will help me save a lot of planning time!
