Mitosis

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Students list and identify cells in their body. They take notes and discuss mitosis and the cell cycle as they observe the teacher diagramming the stages of mitosis. Using strings to represent different chromosomes, students demonstrate what the chromosomes are doing at a particular stage of mitosis. They complete worksheets where they label pictures of cells in different stages of mitosis.
