How many buttons would there be on six monsters? Multiplication beginners examine a strange-looking creature as they write eight number sentences. For each, they are determining how many of a particular feature would be on a specific number of monsters (see the first sentence). No factors exceed 10, and learners don't use the number zero. There is an example provided to get them started. Extend this by having them create their own monsters and writing some similar word problems for a classmate!
