These pictures need more! Before youngsters are able to count, they can comprehend the concept of more; help strengthen pre-reading and counting skills using this drawing activity. They examine three pictures and add more to each. A necklace needs more beads, a stack needs more bricks, and a ladybug needs more spots. A nice aspect of this is that each drawing has them create geometric shapes; ask them what shapes they have drawn in these to extend the objective. Be aware, however, that though the publisher has identified this as designed for CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.6, it does not really meet the objective.
