Worksheet

Multiplying Large Numbers Using the Grid Method

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

In this math worksheet, students multiply large numbers using the grid method. Students split the number into hundreds, tens and units. Students draw a grid, multiply, and add. Example: 324x7 = 300x7 plus 20x7 plus 4x7. Students solve 26 problems, some with 2 numbers multiplied by 3 numbers. This does not seem to save time but is another way to multiply and understand place value.
