My Lost Youth

Students reflect on Longfellow's poem, "My Lost Youth" and compare it to "Fern Hill" by Dylan Thomas. They focus on the poet's use of imagery to invoke emotion and the idealized aspects of the communities that each grew up in. They create a fabric collage from scraps of clothing that conveys their own attitudes about the community they live in.

Kathy S.
When plans are needed, and time is short, I begin here for help from my colleagues. The framework of lessons, excellent worksheets, and multimedia presentations has proved extremely helpful.
