National Geographic: Natural Gas: A Cleaner Energy Solution?

For this activity, students read informational text on natural gas and compare it to other fossil fuels for its greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact. They then prepare a pro or con position on whether natural gas is good option to help the United States meet its energy needs until more sustainable sources are developed. This is followed by participation in a debate. Includes handouts and worksheets, a vocabulary list with definitions, and website links.
