Instructional Ideas
- Extend the learning opportunity by holding a debate covering the topic of natural selection versus scientific selection
- Cross-curricular connection to language arts and/or the debate team allows for team teaching
Classroom Considerations
- The lesson works well in a flipped classroom doing only the experiment in class
- In a gifted class, be sure to emphasize picking up the most obvious prey squares quickly so they don't try to alter the data intentionally
- This is the third resource in a series of five lessons
Pros
- Includes scientific definition of theory
- Materials are readily available
Cons
- Document permissions do not allow for printing
