A 25-slide presentation teaches viewers how to identify the source of stories in newspapers and online news sites. The slides show how to locate the byline where either the reporter's name or the wire service that provided the story can be found and check photo credits and captions to see where the images originated. In addition, the presentation compares how different newspapers report the same story. The big takeaway is that readers should be wary of stories and images lacking information identifying the source.
