How do those nocturnal animals see in the dark? This perplexing question does have an answer. First, little ones use their sense of touch to determine the name of a mystery object, then they listen closely to identify various animals by the sounds they make. Finally, engage in an eyes-closed activity where they use their other senses to move around the room. The ideas are great, but it forgets to mention that some animals have adapted specific traits for life in a night time environment.
