Noncombatancy and the Seventh day Adventist Church

Upper graders investigate how the Seventh Day Adventists are objectors to the practice of war. The instructional activity covers the Civil War and examines the church's position about the practice of war. The research extends to modern wars and learners write about them reflectively in light of the church's views. Note: This is a well formulated instructional activity addressing several standards but is not intended for public school use.

Jessica H.
Lesson Planet has been a lifesaver for me, especially when I am in a time crunch and need a resource quickly. While I consider myself a very creative person, sometimes I need to utilize the great ideas of fellow teachers to get my creative juices flowing. Lesson Planet has been pivotal in this regard.
