The first set has them multiply two odd numbers and record what they notice about the products. Next, they multiply two even numbers and make another observation. Finally, they multiply odd numbers by even numbers and make a third observation. Be sure to extend this by asking kids why they think these patterns show up. No factors exceed 10 in these equations.
