Instructional Ideas

  • Instruct class members to place commas in between each number in order to clearly represent each number from the other
  • Use as an exit ticket after a lesson on comparing three-digit numbers

Classroom Considerations

  • Best used as an assessment for ordering three-digit numbers from least to greatest, and greatest to least
  • Redraw the five fill-in-the-blank lines with more space in between each so that it is easier for learners to clearly separate the numbers

Pros

  • Directions are clear but open and allow pupils to choose their method for solving
  • Includes a teacher guide that contains the answers, as well as commentary on the purpose and making the task relevant

Cons

  • None
