Ow! That Hurts

Students study the ou=/ow/ correspondence in written and spoken words using a tongue twisters and a letterbox instructional activity. They recite the tongue twister and make given words using the letterboxes. Next, they listen to a read aloud of Audrey Wood's, "The Napping House," shaking their hands when they hear the /ow/ sounds. Finally, as an assessment, they complete a worksheet.

I use Lesson Planet for supplementary activities/projects every week. I'm currently researching for a current events rubric and found several options. It's great!
