Sixth graders are introduced to how to calculate the interior angles of polygons. Using a worksheet from a previous lesson plan, they use those answers to determine the sum of the angles of the pattern blocks. To end the lesson plan, they tear the angles apart for each polygon and identify the relationship been the interior angles they tore apart and those still a part of the shape.
