Peanut Math

I really like this clever lesson on using peanuts to help facilitate the learning of addition and subtraction for your young mathematicians. Youngsters use peanuts as "counters" for a variety of math problems that include greater than and less than, and writing large numbers. Then, they complete two worksheets that have answers with letters assigned to them. The letters are plugged into a puzzle which gives them fun facts about peanuts. Very good!

I just completed my student teaching in Newark New Jersey. Creating unit plans became a breeze once I joined Lesson Planet. There was a plethora of resources for every CCSS. Thank you. I had veteran teachers asking me where did I get my resources. I am now teaching at my cooperative school. Yeah!!!!!!!!!
