Perspectives on Animals

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Engage your class in a discussion about humane treatment of animals by recognizing the basic rights of all races, religions, classes, etc. Have volunteers stand on a milk crate without shoes until they become uncomfortable as an example of egg-laying chicken cages. Show a video of your choice about treatment of animals. Talk with the children about choices that they can make. Use your discretion with the lesson as some of the content may be disturbing.
