Phases of the Moon

Students create a model of the phases of the Moon by giving students pictures of the phases of the Moon, a picture of the Earth, and a picture of the Sun. They then take a picture, and stand in correct place to make the phases of the Moon match. Student with the picture of the Sun would stand on the opposite side of the room form the rest of the class, and the students with pictures of the phases of the Moon would stand in a circle around the student with the picture of the Sun.

The new resource preview feature is awesome! It is extremely easy to both find materials and align them with the Common Core Standards. I use those a lot since they are not state-specific, and my lessons must meet the needs of students from different states as well as other countries. You will help me save a lot of planning time!
