What does it begin with? In this engaging phonics game, small groups study onset and rime using picture cards. Groups take turns as one player draws three cards from an overturned pile, placing them face-up on the table. They silently choose one image and say its onset aloud. The first player to find the corresponding picture and say the rime gets to take the card after everyone has said the entire word. Continue until all cards are in possession.
