Instructional Ideas

  • Extend the lesson by asking scholars to plan a strategy for the Core Samples activity
  • Create a research project that challenges working pairs to identify key areas of volcanic activity in a particular plate, then determine what type of movement is causing the activity

Classroom Considerations

  • Pupils need their own computers to complete the interactive; plan time in your school's computer lab or library
  • Resource is printable in case individuals cannot complete it online

Pros

  • The interactive includes printable materials for all activities, as well as answer keys for assessments
