Polar Discovery: Arctic Seafloor Expedition: July 1 Aug. 10, 2007

Curated by ACT

This polar expedition to study the Arctic seafloor took place in 2007, but you can still enjoy following the footsteps of these scientists. The goal of the expedition was to see if there were active hydrothermal vents on the ocean seafloor and to learn what marine communities might live there. Meet the research team and learn about the instruments and vehicles they used in their research, read their photojournals and their responses to questions emailed by students, watch videos showing them at work or play or being interviewed, and try a guessing game or jigsaw puzzle.
