Prime and Composite Numbers

Sixth graders inspect prime and composite numbers. Using graph paper, they draw as many different shaped rectangles as possible. They use the dimensions of the rectangles to discuss prime and composite numbers. Students create a chart to classify numbers and examine the rules of divisibility.

I have been extremely happy with the materials I've located. I'm always looking for new ways to spice things up with my high school students. I use group activities quite often to help my students so finding other ideas is a time-saver for sure. Member since 2010.
