Refraction Through a Circular Disk

In this refraction through a circular disk activity, high schoolers are given a diagram of a circular disk of leaded glass with light striking it. Students use the diagram to find the angle of incidence of the light, the angle of refraction, the average speed the light is traveling and they find the wavelength of the light striking the disk.

When plans are needed, and time is short, I begin here for help from my colleagues. The framework of lessons, excellent worksheets, and multimedia presentations has proved extremely helpful.
