Young scholars research contemporary information on hate crimes and on legislation designed to curtail and control such activity. They discuss the distinctive nature of hate crimes as opposed to other types of violent crimes. Students work in groups and reseach and prepare a presentation responding to one of the following questions: What is the history of hate crimes?, and What are the characteristics of hate crimes?
