The Get to Know Program is devoted to raising the environmental awareness of young people. Robert Bateman, the program's founder, wants children to be able to walk outside their homes and recognize plants and wildlife wherever they live, especially in urban areas. The program sponsors an annual art and writing contest and now has an interactive CD available free to schools across Canada.
