Third graders read the story, "Sarah Plain and Tall." The class participates in discussions on each chapter and answers questions. Students perform activities of their choice. They may write an ad for a newspaper, draw a T-chart, construct a poster, design a bird, paint, create a diorama or predict outcomes. Pupils earn points for completed activities.
