Seeing and Feeling Sound Vibrations

Groups rotate through a series of stations and work with a partner to observe sound waves. Children describe sound in terms of pitch, volume, and frequency. To apply their new knowledge, the class considers how these observations can help people who cannot hear or talk. The teacher has a good amount of preparation to do for this instructional activity.

The new resource preview feature is awesome! It is extremely easy to both find materials and align them with the Common Core Standards. I use those a lot since they are not state-specific, and my lessons must meet the needs of students from different states as well as other countries. You will help me save a lot of planning time!
