An activity boosts self-management through goal setting and reflection. Scholars choose one goal they wish to obtain by the end of the week. Participants brainstorm ways to make their goal a reality then reflect on whether or not their goal was met.

  • Create a Goal wall on which learners can post their goal for the week as a constant, easy-to-see reminder 
  • Direct class members to write their goals in a journal alongside their final reflection, keep the journal going with more goals for the remainder of the school year 
  • Set goals with class members at the start of each reporting period, take time at the end of the reporting period to review and revise goals for the following period
