Sharing Information: Schools, Police and FERPA

Students research Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), interview school officials to see how FERPA is interpreted in local schools, speak with community journalists to find out if they have ever had a hard time getting information from school district, and examine how Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is used to seek such information. Students then prepare oral presentation to help future journalists examine the act.

Lesson Planet has helped me immensely! I have a great curriculum geared toward gifted and exceptional students. However, I need to differentiate so much (I am at a private school). Lesson Planet has been a GREAT supplement to these needs!
