Shoe Box Turtles

Turtles are the stars of the show in a creative instructional activity designed for very young learners. In it, learners are shown pictures of real turtles. They discuss the shell and the head, then they compare them to other animals. Pupils are given a shoebox, and they attempt to decorate it in ways that make it look like a turtle. A rhyme that is embedded in the plan is used by the class to do some acting with their shoebox turtles.

Lesson Planet is a great portal that has given me a lot of great ideas for topics for which I have less preparation, such as physical science.
