Should You Be Worried About Zika?

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

In 2007, 73 percent of the population in Polynesia was infected with the Zika virus, and, like today, there was no vaccine. Viewers see the history of Malaria, dating back to Roman times and its relationship to the Zika virus. They learn about Zika's history, its harm to humans, its transmission, and its current status in the United States.
