The use of role-play comes into play in a lesson on being safe when around traffic. Learners pretend they are walking on sidewalks and approach street corners that have a traffic light. They practice crossing the street only when the light has turned green, or when a crossing guard gives them the OK. A good follow-up activity would be to take the class on a real walk out on the street so they can put what they have been practicing to use. "DW Rides Again" is the Arthur episode meant to accompany the lesson.
