Secondary historians simulate events leading up to the American Revolution. They assume the roles of patriots, loyalists, or neutrals in a town meeting set prior to the Revolution. As Patriots and Loyalists make their arguments, neutrals physically move closer to one group or the other and must justify why they are leaning in that direction. The high schoolers also debate the causes for the war and its outcomes. Resource contains useful reflection from the teacher-creator.
