Solids, Liquids, and Gases

Not many lessons on states of matter can hold a candle to this one! Junior chemists gauge the density of paraffin in both liquid and solid phases. They fill 60 mL syringes with different materials to experiment with compressibility and  then create a poster explaining how each behaves. If you can secure all of the materials for these explorations, they would certainly spark interest in the properties of matter! The resource is well-written and detail-packed.
