Sophia: Selecting Topics for Literary Analysis

A series of resources designed to teach students how to write a literary analysis. The first is a screencast [6 mins] that focuses on defining and introducing the parts of a literary analysis. The second is a slide show with seven slides teaching students how to get started and what types of topics to examine in different types of texts when writing a literary analysis. Finally, the third resource is a downloadable, nine-page PDF containing notes and tips to follow when writing a literary analysis as well as several examples from literature.
