Sorting in More than One Way

Sorting, categorizing, and classifying are skills learners must master for many different reasons. The class will work in small groups to list, classify, and sort a stack of familiar books. The neat part about the lesson is that the sorting process could spur discussions about each book to be sorted. Note that the lesson may not meet all of the listed standards. The children are sorting books, not reading them.
