Stadiums in America

Let's play ball! A great springtime activity to learn about ratios. This activity challenges learners to draw stadiums to scale on standard letter paper and also on construction paper. This three-day lesson includes a pre-assessment about ratios, an assignment on calculating distance on a map using a given scale, an activity with a model car, and the activity of drawing two different stadiums to two different scales. There is a rubric to help with assessment of the project. Explore this lesson and use the activities included or modify them to fit your class.
