Sticks and Stones

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Young scholars explore bullying.  In this character development instructional activity, students discuss verbal and nonverbal bullying. Using the "sticks and stones" adage, young scholars write a sentence describing a hurtful act on a gray piece of paper, crumple it to resemble a rock, and discuss that the "wrinkles" never go away.
