Story Corps: Animation: Eyes on the Stars

An animated video that tells the story of how Ronald E. McNair became interested in space as a child, despite facing racial prejudice, and grew up to be an astronaut. He was the second African American astronaut, and one of those on board the Challenger space shuttle when it exploded after takeoff on January 28, 1986. The video was put together by his brother.
