Street Language and Learning

High schoolers examine the type of language they use on the street in the city. In groups, they brainstorm ideas about a topic they decide on from a cluster of words. Using those ideas, they organize them into a written paper using proper grammar and sentence structures. They identify the street language in their sentences and identify their meaning to end the lesson.

Sara C.
Lesson Planet has helped me differentiate my classroom as needed. I always find it easy to adapt work for struggling learners but find it more difficult to adapt work for higher level learners. By using lesson planet I get great ideas to create fun, challenging work for my higher level learners.
