Texas Instruments: Numb3 Rs: Turing Origami

Based off of the hit television show NUMB3RS, this lesson briefly introduces students to the idea of the Turing Machine. In this lesson, students evaluate a number string, where each number corresponds to a certain lengthening procedure (adding a couple extra numbers to the end of the string). Students then find that their number string is actually a "code" to tell them certain ways to fold a paper, hence the origami.
