The Atom

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

If you are beginning a unit of study on atoms, this presentation would be an excellent way to begin! In it, learners discover many facts about atoms. For example, it would take 50,000 aluminum atoms stacked together to equal the thickness of one sheet of aluminum foil!  Discussion questions are embedded in many of the slides to check for understanding. Learners also see how the charge, location, and number of protons, electrons, and nuetrons in an atom are calculated.
