Bring the Age of Exploration into the 21st century with this ancestry activity! Learners get a chance to explore the complex genealogy of the Spanish settlers through watching two video clips (approximately five minutes each) featuring famous modern descendants of the colonists over 300 years later. Viewing guides are included here along with answer keys. Be sure to click on "Lesson Activities" at the bottom of the page for a detailed description of discussion topics and procedures. There are three excellent homework ideas to help learners synthesize the material.
